Tipoff Thursday

The dance has finally arrived! The Tigers have made their way to Kansas City. The City of Memphis is shuuting down for lunch and the opening game Thursday. (Our company is showing it live on the big screen!) Memphis March Madness is everywhere.

The Tigers have that look in their eye, you know...the Eye of the Tiger!

Prediction...Memphis by 18.

Let The Dance Begin!

Finally, the long year we have waited for the next big dance is done. Selection Sunday is all that stands between us and the madness we call March. Who will be the Cinderella? Who will be the first # 1 seed out? Who will cause that controversal call that spoils the big win? But most importantly who will dominate the 65 and show the world that they deserve to be the champions?

The answers lie in the hearts and souls of the players. They hope, they pray, they dream, they imagine that "One Shining Moment" when greatness becomes them. They play the song over and over in their minds hoping they will be the one left standing when the spotlight shines on the center circle at the big dance.

The championship team; however, is the one that already knows they have won it all.

In Mourning

I'm speechless and in mourning...it really did come down to a couple of free-throws!

Memphis Vs. Kansas

Like I said before the tournament even started it's Memphis verses Kansas for the National Championship. Look for the Tigers to make another big statement Monday night. This truly is a dream team! GO TIGERS!

Andre Allen

A local radio personality (Mike Fleming WREC AM 600) is reporting Andre Allen may be re-instated tonight and fly to San Antonio to play against UCLA. This unverified report from a "trusted source" in San Antonio has stated that Andre Allen's drug test was a false positive related to residual prescription meds taken for a shoulder injury 2 weeks ago and is not a substance abuse issue at all. This is still unconfirmed as of 9:00 PM CDT. If this holds to be true it would be a surprise to me but I would retract my previous post in which I may have rushed to judge.

Andre Allen

Mr. Allen has let down his family, his team, and the city that has stood behind him and championed his cause. But most of all Andre has let himself down. Andre was a walk-on given a rare chance to become a man of character and a dominate force in some capacity in basketball. Andre's conduct has stunned the team and the community. I am in total agreement with Calipari's decision to suspend him and not allow him to go to San Antonio with the team. I can only hope and pray that the team will use this negative to fuel the positive as they have done all year and push forward to the national championship. I had made claims earlier in my blogs and community posts that no one would be able to stop the Tigers. I have been reminded that defeat always comes from within. The Tigers are mentally tough. They will need to remain mentally tough this weekend. The loss of Allen from the team may not be a physical factor in This weekend's games but no one can doubt there will some mental factors. I know Calipari and The Tigers can overcome this if they want that trophy bad enough. I guess tomorrow we will all find out just how tough the Tigers really are.

Go Tigers!

Call me crazy but I am thinking (Memphis 67 UCLA 53).  (Kansas 73 North Carolina 72).
